Yeah, It Is The New Year!
We can tell that it is the New Year by the resolutions that everyone is making, and swearing to keep this year. I have made the decision not to make resolutions, I am however going to set goals for myself. I have only a few, I have failed before because I overwhelmed myself with setting impossible time frames and goals that lead to more stress than victory.
Why do I think this Year will be different?
1. I only have three big goals set for myself this year.
2. I have not set a time limited on those goals and allow the changes to come each day.
3. I have accepted that I am human and there are times when I am going to fall short.
4. In those times that I may fall short I have made the decision to be nice to me rather than slamming myself with negativity. ( I am my own worse critic, no one can slam me better than me, not anymore I am going to be as nice to me as I am to everyone else.)
With that said here are the big long term goals.
1. I am going to conqueror my weight not because I am going to adhere to some fad diet, but because I am changing unhealthy for healthy. I am going to make wiser choices, I am going to be nice to me when it doesn’t seem like it is happening fast enough for me and realize and I will never tell myself that I am a failure ever again. I am going to remember that I am 50 years old and not 25 so when I see results happening faster for my younger friends I am going to tell myself they maybe they are losing it faster but I am more in control of my emotions and heck, I don’t have periods anymore!!!!!
2. I am going to walk on my treadmill at least 4 times a week and do more yoga stretching.
3. I am going to challenge myself to work on my blog more.
I have some minor goals but they are things that will come as I make the bigger changes like coming off my cholesterol medication, things of that nature, these will heal themselves as I make those wiser choices, so with that being said I encourage you to make goals and reach for the stars……
